Selective mutism is mainly present in children rather than adults but it’s a rare psychological disorder. In this disorder, patients face difficulty speaking in public like classrooms or assembly halls.It is estimated that 0.1 to 0.7% of the population of the world has been affected by Selective Mutism, however there is no proper record of the disorder.
